A few weeks back, I saw the premiere of the next generation of American Gladiators. I wasn’t alone as the ratings were huge for the debut, but can those big numbers stay high? Would the producers be testing for steroids? I was planning on following up with this but I just kinda lost interest.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed what I saw. I guess I was one of the very few have publicly supported the next generation. (Well, I would have publicly done it if anyone asked.) I enjoyed it, but I guess it wasn’t cool enough to keep up with. It’s a fun once in a while thing. For more info, go to the American Gladiators blog as I probably won’t talk about it anymore. Hope you don’t mind.
As exciting as this nostalgic re-invention is, I’ll be going through some silmilar considerations when it comes to the old vs. new Knight Rider. Will I tune in week-in and week-out like I did in the Hasselhoff days? Only time will tell.
“It’s just two women trying to beat each other senseless.”
“If I wanted to see that, I’d direct my own beer commercial.”

I am on the same page as you Woody. American Gladiators is OK, but not necessarily something that will grace my DVR schedule. “Nothing on? Ok, let’s watch Gladiators.” Is it me, or is that one guy (Titan?) the gayest looking gladiator you’ve ever seen?
I am on the fence about the new Knight Rider too. I don’t think I like the looks of KITT. Is that a Ford? I guess the 80’s Trans Am look would be a little dated though. I am going to give the show a look, but don’t think it will grace my regular DVR list.

i agree with eric, its a dvr watch, just so i can ff through the all the interviews and just watch the events. as for that titan guy he was also in another AG rip off. does anyone remember BattleDome?
Knight rider i will give it a try, to see if it is worth a second look. it might be worth it since the writers strike has ruined all the good shows. with will arnet as kitt it might have a little more humor than the old one.
