Queen City To-Do List
July 1st, 2008 by Woody!
I find the natives to this town very strange. Many people have complained that Cincinnati is a small, boring town with nothing to do. Coming from an actual small, boring town, I am befuddled by their claim. I will admit that the city is segmented in such a way that routines and ruts are easy traps. But if you look around, there’s plenty to do. Why, just look at the Cincinnati Enquirer’s new list of 100 things to do in Cincinnati. There’s tons of good ideas and what fun there is to be had in the tri-state area.
I feel pretty good because in the decade or so I have lived here, I’ve hit most of those suggestions. Many of those adventures have been chronicled here or in my Flickr account so you can easily live the excitement through my visits. And with gas prices this high, it might be a good idea to be a hometown tourist.

True, Cincinnati does have a lot more to do than Toledo. Whatever your idea of fun, if you’re willing to look then the Queen city probably has it. Unfortunately it also has rampant racism, an ultra conservative mindset, homophobia, horrible weather, and some of the worst sports fans in the US. If it wasn’t for friends and my employer I would be happy to never step foot in the city again.
